This position will be based in Shanghai. Applicants must be eligible to work and reside in the area; relocation is not available.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Our Business Development Managers are responsible for maximizing the Virtuoso value proposition within their member accounts by cultivating strong relationships with members, driving preferred partner revenues, facilitating brand engagement, & identifying new customer prospects. The BDMs must effectively represent the Virtuoso value proposition in the market, aimed at ensuring that Virtuoso reaches its full potential and understanding that they are our brand representative and as such must behave in line with our core values.

BDM's strive for the successful execution of their member account plans aimed at ensuring business growth, profit & partner engagement.

The BDM role is also a key member of the Virtuoso APAC and plays an integral role in the broader Virtuoso GMP department.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understanding of the regional business plan and budget - China
  • Comprehension of the Virtuoso "playbook"
  • Delivery of key performance metrics as outlined in the Business plan
  • Development and maintenance of the member account plans (map's)
  • Effective governance of Virtuoso OM communication programs and PD programs
  • Assist with marketing program utilization
  • Participate in the execution of APAC and Global Virtuoso events
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Attend and participate in member conferences, meetings and education programs 
  • Stay abreast of competitor information stay updated on trends within the industry
  • Provide feedback to the management team with respect to critical matters
  • Assist to ensure that all production reports are accurate
  • Maintain an up to date Comms and Call plan
  • Other duties as required

 

EDUCATION

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Travel/Tourism or Marketing

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

Essential - Travel industry experience

Essential Proven record of stakeholder management

Essential Understanding of brand management
