Position Summary: Virtuoso is hiring two headcount for this position, a "Program Manager, Partnership Access" and a "Program Manager, Membership Access". The first will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of Partnership Access products for Virtuoso's partners, while the second will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of Membership Access products for Virtuoso's member agencies and their travel advisors. Both will be responsible for identifying and coordinating the interdependencies across a highly talented matrixed team of sales, marketing, technology, operations specialists, and subject matter experts from around the company.

Virtuoso's program management leaders work closely with product managers and department leaders to drive product goals forward and maintain internal program performance. Deeply knowledgeable about our industry and customers, the product management team bridges the technical and business worlds to develop products that our customers love.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Participate in the strategic planning and lead the execution of Partnership or Membership Access products serving Virtuoso's partners.
  2. Align with Product Manager on outcomes and KPIs to measure the product's success and meet long-term business objectives.
  3. Develop and manage detailed project plans, scope program deliverables, and drive complex timelines.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, technology, and operations), and external agencies and vendors to complete initiatives on time. Responsible for assigning resources, assessing risks, and clearly articulating responsibilities, activities, and deadlines to teams.
  5. Liaise with Product Marketing division to proof materials for accuracy against Partnership Access product features.
  6. Liaise with Operations division to define new process, train on new or upgraded features, and resolve issues for Partnership Access product features.
  7. Liaise with Partnerships division to train on new or upgraded features, resolve and triage issues for Partnership Access product features.
  8. Act as escalation point for issues/questions to do with Partnership Access product features (ie; digital shopping displays, profiles, etc.) for internal and external customers
  9. Consolidate enhancement requests and synthesize themes and relative priority for addressing
  10. Deliver transparent and comprehensive reporting on success metrics before, during, and after a product launch, and document lessons learned.
  11. Drive improvements for streamlining operational processes.
  12. Conduct data analysis for Product Manager
  13. Understand and stay current on travel, tourism, technology, operational best practices, Virtuoso's diverse customers and Virtuoso's competitive landscape.
  14. Drive and evangelize analysis and application of data in the product development, revenue and audience development. De-mystify data and distill complex analysis into clear presentations and communications with executives and partner teams across the company. 
  15. Evangelize Product Management practices and help the team grow into positions of influence and scale.
  16. Collaborate with peers and Product Management to model a strong, effective product culture and best practices for the product discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4-7 years of Program Management or Project Management experience
  • Experience leading and managing/developing a matrixed product team
  • Demonstrated track record of success in the full lifecycle of product management; product vision and roadmaps, writing exceptional PRDs and shipping products with high customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated projects and competing priorities simultaneously

Travel Requirements

  • Infrequent travel may be required to attend company events (1-3 trips per year)
  • Travel will be primarily domestic but may include some international

Type & Nature of Contacts

  • Internal: Key job contacts are primarily with managers outside of the job's immediate work unit/department
  • External: Regular contact with partners, members, and outside vendors.

Physical/Mental Demands

  • Irregular work hours may occur during work events, which is also when travel from primary place of work may happen.
  • Unpredictable deadlines or demands for work products may arise infrequently for unique projects.
