Position Summary:  The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparation of monthly forecasts and analytics to support Virtuoso's global initiatives. In this role, the Sr. Financial Analyst will also perform variance analysis of revenues, costs and operating expenses and collaborate with FP&A partners to understand changes in business drivers and adjust forecast models accordingly. The candidate will perform monthly accounting GL reconciliations, utilizing financial forecasts to determine prepaid amounts and accruals. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing forecasting models and preparing executive level summaries and presentations to explain financial performance and key drivers.


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

  1. Perform the month-to-month financial reporting including research, explanation and resolution of monthly variance.
  2. Perform monthly financial statements close, reconciliation of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger accounts
  3. Monitor monthly performance for certain revenue streams through comparison of actuals vs forecast.
  4. Work with departments in development of financial models and forecasts to assist with budget process and monthly forecasting.
  5. Create financials models for new/current business opportunities.
  6. Prepare monthly financial review package for Senior Leadership Team summarizing significant variances for the month.
  7. Analyze operational and financial results against established budgets and forecasts.
  8. Analyze business models to ensure maximum benefit/return is achieved from each product service.
  9. Direct managerial P&L reviews to evaluate monthly performance, and progress towards accomplishing annual goals.
  10. Work on integrating financial data points to Virtuoso's BI platform to provide advanced insight and support fast decision-making.
  11. Special projects as required.


Educational and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 or more years of FP&A experience
  • Ample knowledge of GAAP, forecasting and budgeting
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills, seeking process improvements and driving efficiencies
  • Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated skills in developing forecasts and financial reports
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a deadline driven environment
