Position Summary:  The primary responsibilities of the Account Manager, Hotels and Resorts are to proactively provide seamless sales, marketing and customer service support to hotels in their assigned market areas, ensure client retention/conversion and to achieve/exceed established marketing revenue goals.


Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Present and sell marketing opportunities to designated accounts - individual hotel properties worldwide.
  2. Create marketing proposals and insertion orders for individual hotel properties worldwide.
  3. Negotiate marketing and sponsorship contracts for individual hotel properties.
  4. Provide customer service and assess needs of accounts.
  5. Proactive account analysis and market assessment.
  6. Ability to problem-solve and provide productive resolution.
  7. Support the Managing Director and Director, Hotels & Resorts in the planning, creation and execution of Virtuoso annual marketing plan and projects as required.
  8. Conduct professional client meetings.
  9. Maintain credit/billing spreadsheets per assigned accounts.
  10. Travel may be required both domestic and international.
  11. Attend professional events relevant to the GPP - Hotels, Destinations & Experiences department.
  12. Supervise personnel as appropriate.
  13. Achieve/exceed individual and department goals and revenue targets.
  14. All other duties as required.


Educational and Skills Requirements:

  • College graduate preferred
  • 2+ years experience in hotel sales or other travel related company
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a deadline driven environment
  • Personable, professional team player a must
  • Proficiency in MSWord, MS Excel, Power Point and Outlook

External:  Daily contact with various external contacts.

Internal:  Daily contact with Virtuoso staff.
